Recently, I upgraded a computer from Win 98 to Win XP.
During the initial setup screens, I chose the Networked option as I intended to set up a wireless network with a laptop. Now, everytime I boot up, I get a message asking me to insert my card or press CTRL ALT DEL to get to the Desktop. How do I get rid of this message so that the machine boots directly to the Desktop? |

Control Panel/Users and Passwords/Advanced tab
uncheck the check box in secure boot settings >-----Original Message----- >Recently, I upgraded a computer from Win 98 to Win XP. >During the initial setup screens, I chose the Networked >option as I intended to set up a wireless network with a >laptop. > >Now, everytime I boot up, I get a message asking me to >insert my card or press CTRL ALT DEL to get to the >Desktop. > >How do I get rid of this message so that the machine >boots directly to the Desktop? > >. > |
