I have installed Windows XP Pro on my computer.
Everything works fine except as it boots up I get an annoying black screen that ask me to choose which version of windows I would like to use. If I don't choose anything it defaults to XP after thirty seconds. I find this screen very annoying, I only have one version of windows on this machine! Is ther a way to get rid of this so it can boot up without this screen? Sure slows down the boot up process. thanks rick |

Right click My COmputer and go to properties, advanced,
startup and recovery. Find out what 'other' version of windows is running, and either choose the default and set the time to zero, or look for the post about removing superflouos installations of Windows XP. Good luck. >-----Original Message----- >I have installed Windows XP Pro on my computer. >Everything works fine except as it boots up I get an >annoying black screen that ask me to choose which version >of windows I would like to use. right click "my computer" >> properties. Advanced Tab >> settings button
under "startup and recovery", uncheck "Time to display list of operating systems". DONE.
