So the question I have is , is it worth the trouble to change out my molex connectores for cool Uv one s.
After thinking about it I'm leaning more towrds something else I've seen , called fireflys. Maybe I'll just paint them, or paint and fireflys, I don't know, what do you all think?? Changing the Molex connectors is a liitle easier on the wallet too. |

UV Molex connectors are cool
![]() Best to change plugs. But you will need an extraction tool. They're available from good sites dealing with PC customisation, Kustom PC's stock one. Without the pin extractor tool you'll find it very hard work.

I got some yellow UV reactive easy grip molex plugs from Maplin's last year, for modding an old power supply.
The molexes were made by Vantec and came with extraction tool supplied, I think they were about £9.99 for a pack of eight plugs. They were really easy to fit, and looked really good. So, go ahead and get some. Are you planning on getting some braided sleeving for your cables too. It will really compliment your new plugs, and is easy to fit while you have your molex plugs removed (and before you put the new one on). If you do go ahead with the plugs, could you post us some pics, so you can show off just how cool they are?

OK, well if its reportedly easy to do with the included tool then that is what i'm gonna do, and yes I'm gonna get sleeving too, I am either goinf to get blue molex and green sleeving or the reverse, green molex and blue sleeving. My local Mod Shop guy said its a pain in the A** to change molex, but if you all say its easy, mayby he's try to jerk me. So which way should it look, they don't show green molex with blue braid but I got this pick, I may go this way ----

Just make sure you don't mix up the 12V & 5V lines, that could be interesting
![]() In other words, make a note of lead colour orientation. Common sense rules, hopefully.

Err, I figures I'd replace one wire at a time, since the kit I want is gonna cover the entire power supply and a 20 wire plug will be complicatied so yea, I'll be careful.

I'm just waiting delivery on the same cable and molex modding kits - and decided I like the way the molex plugs have those side clips that help when unplugging. So even if you have a case like mine that doesn't have a window, I reckon they're still a good idea, especially if you do a lot of plugging and unplugging.

You know that is a very good point, and there is no real pricew difference. And yea, the EZ grips look like they'll be a lot easier to handle.
