Default welcome screen not working

i hv installed windows xp service pack2 installed last
week but now i am encountering some problem with it.
whenever i start my pc the "Welcome to Windows" Logon
Screen Does Not Appear instead of it it pops up the
windows where it ask me to fill the username and password
as if the Welcome Screen and the Fast User Switching
feature is not available although i hv enabled from the
control panel. i have even tried deleting the registry
enrty
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\GinaDLL

but i found no such entry there .Also i have tried
replacing the file logonui from service pack2 setup but
even after that it still does not work . Please help with
this asap
