MP3 to .mid / .rmi files

Anybody know whether it's possible to convert wmf/mp3s to .mid/.rmi files in
windows media player 10?

There isn't any good software for doing this. Converting audio files to
MIDI is akin to doing speech recognition. There are some packages around
are kinda OK for monophonic sources (e.g. a single instrument) but still
require you to provide manual assist with tempi, pitch etc ... and even
then it's still a helluva lot of work. Of course if you start including
voice(s) then you're waaay too early.

Yes its possible, but the result is fun/useless - call it what you will !

Unless its one instrument or a voice. Try this freeware (convert to a wav
file first) :
