Default Windows Media Player 10

I installed windows XP (service pack 2) to my laptop, and windows media
player 10 as well, but, i have a problem playing any kind of file via media
player! I get that notice "Windows Media Player has encountered a problem and
need to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience". I tried to unistall and
reinstall media player, but..nothing! Does this has to do with ad-watch or
the antivirus i use? I tried to wtite "regsvr32
%SystemRoot%\system32\wmpui.dll" to Start->Run window.. but again.. nothing!
