audio cd discs. I want to use real one player also clean sweep stopped playing back files at the same time. I first noticed the problem in easy cd creator 4.05 I know there can be problems with this program in xp but it did work for 3 months. I have now totaly removed this program following advice from roxio including registry entrys and stray files.made no differance.any ideas ? |

Just last night I noticed my PC doesn't play audio CDs.
It's been about a week since I last used a music Cd on it, but nothings been installed/changed since then. Now programs like WMP and Real don't even show tracklistings (especially on enhanced CDs and MWp shows the tracks of a normal Audio Cd but has exclamation marks beside each one and tells me to check newtork streaming protocols!?!?) or detect an audio cd is in the drive.... However, another, small program, I have is dbPower Amp, and it can detect and play the tracks (though it's quite cumbersome to use so I'm not too keen on using this forever more). It's frustrating that no support article really addresses this, and the only thing that I think it might be is some sort of service (in XP). There's a cdaudio service that's disabled, which MIGHT be something to do with this. Aside from not playing audio CDs, the computer is fine. |
