I use AUDACITY. It is FREE, Open source, and reliable.
Not share-ware or free-ware junk. http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/...y/audacity-win- 1.2.0-pre3.exe?download (this is the 'unstable' pre- release version, but it works great -- done many huge projects with it at work.) It is fairly easy to use. Just connect to your sound card's line in, select LINE IN on the input menu of the audacity program, and record away. (If you want to record from the internet and can hear the sound from your PC speakers, select AUDIO MIX as your recording source). You'll have to play with the recording levels, but you'll get it right! Good recordings!
