I'm not liking Windows Media Player. I have nothing
checked in the defaults, but every time I put a CD in my E drive it pulls up WMP and starts playing it. I would like it to only speak when spoken to. Second, I have deleted a major load of music from my harddrive, but the titles still show up on WMP. Is there a way to refresh the music list, so it only recognizes actively saved tunes? Thanks |

Hello,
You must have allowed WMP to autoplay a CD everytime you put one in at the menu that pops up everytime you insert a CD. To stop that, go to your CD-ROM, right-click it and choose Properties. Choose Music CD from the drop box and select Take No Action or whatever other program you want the CD to play. As for getting rid of the files that WMP sees, select all of the dead music files and say delete from Library. Ty >-----Original Message----- >I'm not liking Windows Media Player.
