how to burn a cd

I have a new computer eMachinges with Windows XP and CD
ROM installed. I have been trying to burn[smile] for six
months....it's just not working. I don't seem to
understand the instructions in the HELP section.

Can you give me simple instructions.

I have downloaded music from WinMix, but can't copy it to
my CD.

Are you sure it's a burner..?

I have the same problem, I believe we are missing some
software like "recordnow". If the software is included
in XP, it isn't working for me as well....

Make sure your CD can burn CDs.

What program are you using to attempt to burn a CD?

I found my problem :

software to use = recordnow
Make sure your CD's are only R. Some CD-players (in my
case 3) don't recognize CD-RW!
