My main admin account plays all sounds fine. Every
account I create afterwards (and guest) play NOTHING. No settings are muted, and the Windows Volume Slider shows the sound is playing. I switch back to my main admin user and try playing the same file with no problems. I hear the sound fine. Checked all the drivers on both accounts and there are no conflicts. Just wondering why a new user account would default to no sounds??? Any ideas? |

I would presume that your sound card driver somehow installed itself in working order solely to your admin account. This isn't unheard of with some buggy sound card drivers. You'd probably want to check either http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com or your sound card vendor for an updated sound card driver... -- (speaking for myself and doing this in my free time) See http://www.nwlink.com/~zachd/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info.
