The headphone jack on the drive has no bearing on the audio data sent to
your sound card and as such, it won't mute the speakers automatically. Some sound cards, such as the SB Audigy Platinum, have a headphone jack that can mute the speakers, or else you can just mute the speakers with the sound volume control on the taskbar without opening the whole mixer app. "Pompey©" <darynlee@nospamblueyonder.co.uk> wrote in message news:Gkpab.1358$J_3.12170340@news-text.cableinet.net... > Hi > On my cd-rom drive I have an earphone socket but when plugging in > earphones the music is still coming out of main speakers...is there an > option in windows XP to change this etc > > Using XP pro > media player 9 > Thanks Kim > > |
