Sounds gone after booting

Whenever I start up my computer (Windows XP Pro installed) witch overall
just workes fine, it will not play any sounds. So I go to the hardware
enviroment and disable my soundcard in the hardware list. Then I enable it
again and the computer will play sounds until I either shut down the
computer and start it up the next time or when I reboot the computer. After
booting or rebooting the problem is back and I have to do my trick in the
hardware list again.

I have the latest drivers for my soundcard (Forte Media FM801) and the
soundcard is not sharing IRQ's with any other hardware part.

Can somebody please tell me how to solve this problem?
