No sound while capturing with PREMIERE or MM

Okay, so I've been trying to figure out why my computer
wont capture Video and Audio recently. I can get it to
capture the video with no problem in both ADOBE PREMIERE
and MOVIE MAKER but still no audio.

Is it possible that there's like an AUDIO CAPTURE CODEC
somewhere that's being screwed up? Running my camera
through TV INPUT gives me both audio and video, but while
I try to CAPTURE it I can't get the audio.

I use Realtek AC97 for audio. Is it something with
this? Could it be screwed up? Please help. Thanks
