Canon Zr10 Cannot start device Code 10

I was very excited that I could upload my video into windows movie maker but
after 1 tape it quit working the firewire interface is recognized by the
camera "DV" appears when I plug it in. On device manager the Canon Camera
appears with the Code 10 message. I may have "upgraded" to XP service pack 2
in the interim - any thoughts on how I can get this working again?
