Default how to identify DV file type?

How do you tell if a given DV avi file is type 1 or type 2, plus see the
audio sampling rate, the interleave ratio, and codec used (if possible to
tell)?

Is there an utility for this? I'm trying to learn what type of DV files my
video programs accepts and outputs.
