I have a DV camera running through an optical fiber 1394
extender. Without the extender everything works fine. With the extender, I get this message from the device manager after rebooting: "device cannot start...". If I unplug the device and plug it back it in, it starts working. Also, if I use the device manager to disable the device and re-enable it, it starts working. What could the problem be? I've already installed hotfix Q329256, "Inconsistent gap count can cause 1394 devices to not enumerate." Which *did* resolve a problem I had with the DV camera in general, but has not solved the problem with the fiber optic extender in place. Help! Thanks, Matt |
