Repetition in Windows Media Player

Does anyone know why Windows Media Player consistently
plays the same loop of songs when on shuffle play? Is
there anyway to make it actually select songs at random
on shuffle mode? Thanks.

Are you using WMP8? Windows Media Player 9 Series is the first WMP in a
looong time that actually has decent shuffle. Upgrade to that and you
should be happier.
