You need to supply more information. Have you checked in Device Manager ? If
not, right click on My Computer, select Properties, Hardware, and then
Device Manager.

Is there a yellow triangle against your Sound Card ? Check out "Sound, Video
and Game Controllers", your Soundcard should be in there.

If there is no yellow triangle AND your sound card shows up there we need to
look further. If it doesn't show up, try turning off the computer, opening
the guts up and re-seating the soundcard. Its like a car, have to get the
hands dirty ;-)

Have you loaded the most up to date XP drivers from the manufacturer's
website ? De-install (Control Pannel, Add or Remove Programmes, get rid of
all references to your Soundcard) then re-install the the drivers.

Have you checked the volume slider ? Double click on the loundspeaker icone
in the taskbar (bottom right hand side of the screen), make sure that the
only thing "muted" is the microphone (if its there). Move all the sliders up
to max.

If after all that it doesn't work, re-post.

Cheers,
Jerry
