Your CD burner should show up.

If it doesn't, right click on My Computer > Properties > Hardware > Device
Manager.

Is there a yellow triangle next to the DVD/CD Drive ? (If not and your drive
shows up here its recognised by XP).

Does the burner get recognised during boot by the BIOS ?

Re-installing WMP 9 on top may help.

Re-post if still not working.

Cheers,
Jerry

Thanks for the help.
The Drive is okay in Device Manager. It seems that Media
layer 9 just does not recognise it.
I am not familiar with Boot during Bios....
How do I reinstall WMP9 on top?

Just reinstall it on top of itself.
That likely wouldn't help, though, since CD drive recognition occurs deeper
in the system.
