WFET.. what is this?

I currently installed a cable modem on my Win XP machine.
Everytime I log off i get a message that pops up that says
WFET still running End task now? End task or cancel? This
popup only comes up if i get on the internet. Does anybody
know what this is from?

I notice that usually the only time i get that particular message is when
i'm running software in compatability mode (ok, its Quake 1 - there, are you
satisfied now??)
Maybe you need to update the cable modem drivers if there's an XP version
available now.
Just a suggestion.
