new install on new hard drive and it wants a password for guest

i just put a new machine together with a new blank hard
drive and went through the install fine. Now it comes up
to the splash screen with only one user, Guest. It wants
a password for Guest which is the only account and i have
no idea what it would be? can anyone help?
