I recently switched from Windows 98 to Windows XP. I was
told XP could operate my burner but i am having a tough
time finding out how. Any help will be deeply
appreciated since i need to use my burner soon.

Go to your CD burner's manufacturer's website for updated drivers. You need
to install the Win XP drivers for it to work.
