Hi,
When I open Windows Explorer "My Documents" folder is expanded on the left side. I would rather have my "Local Disk (C " expanded. Is there a wayto make this so? TIA |

Jake <vrijen@aol.com> contemplated the little bit of fluff in his navel and typed: >> -----Original Message----- >> Hi, >> >> When I open Windows Explorer "My Documents" folder is expanded on >> the left side. Don't think there's anything there about changing the default in Explorer...... -- (I may be wrong...I usually am....) By default, Windows Explorer always opening up with My Documents. Customize
it, by changing the properties for the Windows Explorer icon and replace the Target field with: %SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /n, /e, c:\yourfolder 1. Right click on the icon you use to launch Explorer and select Properties. 2. In the Target box of Properties type (or replace the existing text with) the following (without quotes): "%SystemRoot%\Explorer.exe /e, C:" Where in place of path above you should enter the actual path to the directory you want open by default. For example C:\Windows, or C:\Documents and Settings, etc. The path also doesn't require quotes around it.
