Default spooler will not delete print job

There is a print job that I cannot cancel, it just says deleting-spooling, and will stay that way forever. I can still print to that device with no problems just want the spooler to clear.

You are not only. From time when I have Windows XP installed, I have same
problem.
My solution was in LPT1 to USB connection (cable), from LPT1 on printer.to
USB on computer.
This is XP problem and You can find it on Microsoft sites.

Try stopping the print spooler first....from the command prompt type

net stop spooler

and hit enter, then try deleting. Remember to restart it afterwards...

net start spooler
