Default File sent to printer is larger than data file

My Word doc is 29KB in size. When sent to the printer, the
file size becomes 744KB and, of course, ties up the
printer. Am using Windows XP with HP Officejet 7130 shared
on a wireless network. Can find nothing wrong with the doc
itself or info on how to resolve this.
Thanks.

Its not unusual, particularly if you use fonts which don't exist in the
printer or documents with graphics. Unfortunately most ink jet printers are
pretty dumb and need everything spelt out for them.
