Default Printing Problem

I'm using a 2 year old Epson Stylus C80 Printer. All of
a sudden it's stopped printing the color "red" when
printing not only Excel spreadsheets, but color prints
also. I've check the ink level - it's at 1/3 level; I've
run all the tests offered under trouble shooting - the
red lines come out very vague as a pale yellow; I've
rebooted to no avail, and am about to reinsert a new
color cartridge just in case this one is defective. (I
hate to open a new one though since it's enclosed in a
vaccum packed plastic sleeve.)

Any suggestions out there?

Thanks. Curt

Default Re: Printing Problem

Run a couple of cleaning cycles first... if still no change, use the new
cartridge. You've already purchased it and it's cheaper than a new printer.
