I have an Epson Stylus C80. The black ink ran out and my
son replaced it with a new Epson T0321 cartridge. The printer printed a few more pages then stopped any black printing. Color still works fine. I have removed and reseated the black cartridge and the the printer seems to go through a "charging period" but still no black printer. I have tried letting it print many pages hoping it will clear up. The printer operates just like it thinks all is well. The ink monitor also shows full. Can new cartridges be bad or did my son's possibly incorrect replacement technique affect it? Help, Ray |

Did you run an alignment cycle after the installation?

Yes, it sure can. Not often, but it does happen.

I replaced the black ink cartridge and now have black
text printing. Guess I had that one rare defective cartridge. Of course, now my color ink is low from all the messing around. Thanks for your inputs, Ray. >-----Original Message----- >Yes, it sure can. Excellent news Ray! Hope you remember to send the defective cartridge back
to the manufacturers... you deserve a free replacement one!
