printing problem

I have a HP officejet v40xi (all in one). It has worked
fine until it started giving me a "print failed" notice
when printing. It will always start printing documents,
pictures, whatever but abruptly stops shortly after
receiving the error message. I uninstalled and re-
installed the HP and I have went to the HP website and
downloaded a new driver. Does anyone have any
suggestions? Thanks.
