compaq3-1000 printing problem

Default compaq3-1000 printing problem


After initial installation I could print. Now I cannot
print anything with a printer error saying I should check
the box for bidirectional support which I have done.
Still it will not print. Also the printer levels are not
accurate. They show full all the time and cannot be.
