Hi. I'm replying to ur suggestion for my printer -Sep 25
2003, 12:21PM. Sorry for the couple of days delay.... I
went away for the weekend. I have tried ur idea a number
of times, but I get exactly the same result: the printer
does nothing and I reiterate that it still works on my
neibours computer. Also the device manager shows the
device working properly.

P.S: I'm at a dead loss what to do???

Open a DOS window by typing CMD in the start Run slot. Next, type each
line followed by pressing return.

c:
cd \
dir >lpt1

After the printer finishes you will have to press the form feed button on
the printer to eject the page... assuming the printer prints anything.

Then type

Exit

followed by pressing enter.

Let us know.
