Default How to fax using Windows

Go to Start->Control Panel->Add or Remove Programs. Click
on Add/Remove Windows Components and make sure that Fax
Services is checked and press Next. This will install the
Fax component on your system. Insert the Windows XP CD if
prompted to do so.

Once you have set up Fax, you can send and receive faxes
from the Fax Console program. You can get to this from
Start->All Programs->Accessories->Communications->Fax->Fax
Console. Make sure you have a dial-up modem connected to
an analog phone line before you start faxing.
