Unbearably slow printing!!!

I've sent 6 emails to Epson in 2 months time....no response! Just upgraded
to winXP from win98se, using an Epson stylus photo820.....printed great with
98. Now with XP ... all photos regardless of settings take 2 to 4 times
longer to print.I've uninstalled and completely removed the printer 3
times...no change. The LPT(parallel port) is set for ecp/dma mode. Running a
P4 2.0ghz with 1gb ram, 20gbs of disk space. What else could it be?

Try changing it to a USB cable and see if the speed increases.
