Hi,
I recently bought myself a new pc that has media player on it - I have tried to copy a music cd but with no success. It plays back okay on the pc but not on any other cd player. Can someone advise me as to what I am doing wrong ? |

What are you trying to play the burned CD on?
Some CD players won't play burned CD-R's, particularly some portable players and car systems. If you can find a stand-alone CD player that's part of a dedicated Hi-Fi setup, try playing your recorded CD on that. Also, what format are the audio tracks on the burnt CD. They should be WAV. A good facility for converting one audio format to another is dbPoweramp. It's a freebie and can be downloaded from: Here And as Mucks pointed out, Nero is the ipso facto choice for burning software ![]()

A tiny suggestion for those who are perfectionists when it comes to copying audio. "Exact Audio Copy" is a software which is regarded as best for simply making copies of cd's. However, you will need some sort of burning software for creating those disks and as per suggestion from Muckshifter and Floppybootstomp, Nero is really the best.
Exact Audio Copy can be downloaded here
