John,
No, the option is not there. I have a shortcut to an installed scanner on my desktop; clicking the shortcut starts the wizard for that device. Nothing I can do right now will get the reader to start the wizard. Autoplay features are no help. John,
Thanks, I will try that Monday when I get back to work. I've had problems on and off with the wizard and you're right it seems to be a common occurrence. Of all of the image handling applications I've use this wizard has been the simplest and most useful one to date. It seems that others agree. If I were MS I'd look to fix this inconsistency. I usually have problems with it when I install a new application that has hooks in the image "file type" associations. A simple powertoy applet to restore defaults would be nice to have when this happens. You're correct, there should be a simple fix
for this problem...I wish I knew what it was. Let me know if the shortcut works. -- John Inzer Picture It!
