I've scanned photos and copied them to a CD only to
discover that I didn't mean to copy two of them. Now when I try to work with them, I'm told they are read-only and I should check with the administrator. I cannot figure out how to remove the read-only and cannot find anything in the Windows XP books or in the help options. I've also found some of my pictures, after scanning, though I use the same method each time (HP scanner)will sometimes save as a Windows Picture It and sometimes as the Dell program also installed on my computer. I cannot open some of the pictures...like I say, they are all scanned the same way. Any suggestions? |

Editing a file while it's on a CD-R would not be
possible, but have you tried to copy the image files from the CD to a folder on your hard drive? If you copy the images to your hard drive you should be able to edit them. What is the file extension of the scans? If it is ..mix you should be able to open them in Picture It. I don't know anything about the Dell program. -- John Inzer Picture It!
