Unable to install 5 critical updates

I get the following message when trying to install
Critical updates:
The software you are installing has not passed Windows
Logo Testing to verify its compatability with WindowsXP.
This software will not be installed. It suggests that I
check with my administrator (which is me.) I'm guessing
I have a switch set somewhere that is causing this. HELP!
