boom usb psx/ps2/n64 adaptor

hi i have this adaptor which lets me connect ps2/psx/n64
controllers and use them as a joypad however only
sometimes the driver is reconised. it is usb so when i
connect it shud work but most of the time i have to goto
device manager, then human interface device then update
drive then it sometimes works. but after machine is
switched of it doesnt work again in device status it says
device not working proprley code 10 please can someone
help me
