Default Problems loading digtal camera...

I have tried numerous times to install my digital camera and tracking
down the drivers at Fuji's main site, but each time I get the install going,
XP closes down and on reboot tells me that the problem is due to a driver
being installed. I have requested from Fuji a reason why my install will
not complete and they gave me this response:

Please help me locate the driver to install my digital camera on Windows XP?
(My question to Fuji re my present problem installing my camera.)
The XP drivers are part of Windows XP.
The driver file is called USBSTOR.sys. This file is required to install
your digital camera on XP.
If the file is missing or corrupt please reinstall it from the Windows XP CD
or contact your PC manufacturer.

I have tried to find this file/folder on my PC and on the XP disc and
cannot locate it?! I have chosen to look in all files and folders and also
all hidden files but it does not appear anywhere??
Previously, the camera went in with no problems and the last install was
done cleanly with no problems, so why is this file/folder unavailable as it
is a necessary part of XP and should SURELY have automatically installed
when a clean install was done?

Can you please advise??

Many thanks

alba.
