Default p.c. shuts down unexpectally from time to time

P.c shuts down unexpectatly. when I start my p.c. again. I
have a window that states that computer restarted after an
expected shutdown. Microsoft windows detected a possible
device failure. The driver for this display device was
unable to complete a drawing operation. Please check with
the device manufacturer for the device update.
This has been going on for weeks. How do to solve this
issue.
thanks.

G'day barb, well it looks like you have the problem that
I do have on the accasion. It is a driver conflict and the
only way I fixed it was to go back to windows 2000 or
earlier.Unfortunately XP still has a bit to go whan it
comes to driver stability so hang in there and try a
different o.s.
cheers
