hrs after I upgraded to xp from win 98. No sound . What
gives ??? Yet Xp says it recognizes my win 98 sound
drivers. I'm very puzzled at this can anyone help, Please

Win9x/ME drivers do NOT normally work with XP. Windows2000 drivers usually
DO work with XP.

Go to the website of the PC manufacturer and look for either 2000 or XP
drivers for your particular soundchip/soundcard setup.

Not so much true in that win2000 driver do not work to the full extent they
did in win2000.
