I am also having this same problem. It started when I upgraded to the
Asus 44.30 display driver. I use Win2K, and Asus motherboard, and an Asus video card. Don't really have much to say beyond that, sorry. Will try to post more if I fix it. It seems this problem is related to the Asus Probe utility. What
happened in my case is that Asus Probe creates a key structure under [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\aslm75]. When I upgraded my Asus video driver it deleted this key for some reason. To fix it I reinstalled Asus Probe again after the video drivers. My aslm75 key is back and the error message is gone. This might not be the fix for everyone. One option is to uninstall Asus Probe altogether, which gets rid of the errors as well as the program. But I suggest keeping it if at all possible. A while ago it gave me a temperature error and after investigating I found out that my cabinet fan had frozen. There is a chance my memory would have been ruined if I hadn't had Asus Probe installed, which would have been a complete disaster for me at the moment. Based on postings I found elsewhere I think in some cases this problem is due to corruption of the file System32\Drivers\ASLM75.SYS, though some people mistakenly attributed it to the version of that file. I believe there is only one version and it is either corruption of it or the previously mentioned registry problem that is the source of the error. If you want to try replacing ASLM75.SYS here is one place to get another copy: http://24.237.160.4/files/drivers/M.../Ldcm332/Local/ |
