I think I have seen her posting under different names through the past
couple of years. You come to recognize the general "style" of regular posters after awhile. All she ever offers is "snide" remarks, and if she is the one I'm thinking of, she attempts to correct peoples grammar and spelling and claims to have been an English major who stated that etymology was something we didn't use these days. One of the problems with her statement was, she spelled it "Entomology". It may not be the same person but, she is just another to be ignored. Whoever you are,
That was an interesting link. However, I don't recall Miss PT calling herself an MVP. For the larger part, I appreciate the MVP's who do come to the newsgroups and offer help to those of us who are less knowledgeable than they on XP and other PC matters. I read most of the comments on the link and recall a few of them in real time. Every-once-in-awhile, some of us, including some MVP's and other regular posters, seem to have had one too many ice cubes in their drink or are just plane-old tired or distracted and we don't really type what we meant, or misread the OP. *#it happens. The only thing I would say that may be considered negative about a few, not all, of the known MVP's is that they seem to be over anxious to send the uninitiated to the registry when, in some cases, a simple r-click and "XYZ" would solve their problem, without scaring the crap out of a person who is obviously in over their heads in the first place. That's just an example of my point. Overloading the OP is the point. The people who haunt the NG's, like Miss PT, with nothing at all to add to the thread except KB's and irritation are the ones I would like to be able to "PLONK" by class. Unfortunately, that is not an option offered in OE. I cut out absolutely everything that might have caused your moment of distraction. Call the firebrigade if you start to feel anything and tell then your only braincell is on fire. >> "...
