Default New Window Opening Problem

Hi There,

I have a problem with new windows opening in IE6 - it seems to be locking up
the browser completely to the extent that I have to CTRL-ALT-DEL and then
shut down IE just to get functionality back, and I have to restart Windows
XP completely to be able to get it working fully.

Like I said, this only happens when something opens in a new window - not
when I manually right click a link and 'open in a new window'.

Has anyone heard of this before or know a way round it?

I am using Internet Explorer 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633 and Windows XP
Professional Version 2002 with Service Pack 1.

Thanks

Nick

Default Re: New Window Opening Problem

I've got exactly the same problem. IE6 doesn't lock, but it takes an amount
of time to open the new windows increasing almost linearly with the number
of windows already open. Use a popup blocker like Google Toolbar, that helps
for most cases.
