Monitor details using WMI

Can I get the monitor make, model and serial number using WMI. I would like
to include these details on an asset tracking database that I'm working on.
I can get PC make model and serial number, but the monitor eludes me. The
network is running HP/Compaq D530s.

looks like you can get make and model and you have the pnp stuff installed
for the monitor!
try this if running xp
wmic desktopmonitor list full

Hi DLM,

Download the WMI tools from the address:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...f853-1120-48db-
8cc5-f2abdc3ed314&displaylang=en

ONce installed use the object browser to see what WMI offers for your
operating system. I've been using WMI for only a few months so I'm no an
expert but I do know the number of providers vary greatly for each due to
the fact the WMI technology is emerging.
