Default Newbie question wrt 3rd party device drivers

Hello.

I'm trying to install the Win XP embedded drivers for our platform - AMD
Geode MediaGX (GX1). The drivers in question are the Video and Sound drivers.

All i have at hand are some INF, SYS and DLLs. I've been poking around in
the help file for the XPE development studio, but i can't figure out where to
start.

I assume i have to create a new component in the component designer, but i'm
not grasping how i'm supposed to "tell" the target designer that this is the
video (or audio) device drivers.

if anyone have a good idea where i should start looking, i'd be very thankful

I haven't yet worked with the Geode chipset, but I know that some driver is
available in http://www.xpefiles.com , search also in this group for
experiences inserting keyword geode

Popoi I have some drivers for Geode. Can you tell me what drivers are
missing when u pull in ur .PMQ file so i can see if i have that driver
componentized for you. Oh and by the way good luck the Geose chipset is a
nightmare with XPe from my experience.

Popoi,

Nothing comes up until you walk on the roads. You need to get up with
the manuals and links like whatever KM provided ..

http://msdn.microsoft.com/embedded/...ty/default.aspx

Once you are through with this, you will have some questions to put
here
