Nope, I think the problem is on my end and probably has to
do with the program. I tried voice conferencing with Yahoo Messenger and it worked. >-----Original Message----- >Hi, > >It sounds like something on your contacts' side might be blocking your audio communication. > >You might want to ask them to try turning off the built- in Windows XP Internet Connection >Firewall. Choose the Settings button, click each 'msmsgs' or 'msnmsgr' >entry and then choose 'Delete' to each one. Then close Messenger (right-click the Messenger >icon, choose Exit), then restart Messenger. >____________________________________________ >Jonathan Kay >Windows MVP, Messenger >Associate Expert >http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/ >Messenger Resources - http://messenger.jonathankay.com > > >"Yu Ling" <hoyuling@hotmail.com> wrote in message >news:06ed01c33800$5ab89eb0$a601280a@phx.gbl... >> Thanks for your replies. Hi Gary,
The Internet Connection Firewall does work with Messenger, but in some cases, it doesn't (due to some UPnP issues). It's much easier to address the problem with the ICF off. ____________________________________________ Jonathan Kay Windows MVP, Messenger Associate Expert http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/ Messenger Resources - http://messenger.jonathankay.com "Gary L.
