Default messanger problem

Every time I connect to the internet windows messenger
keeps signing me in. I followed the help windows
instructions, but we don't have what it's looking for.
(something to do with an advanced tab.) Can you help me
figure out how to stop it from signing in?

Default Re: messanger problem

Greetings Anthony,

There are a few ways of stopping this problem.

The first is to stop Windows Messenger from loading at startup -- to do so, open the main
Messenger window, click the Tools menu, then Options, then Preferences, uncheck 'Run this
program when Windows starts' and click OK. You can then start it whenever you want by
clicking Start, then All Programs and then Windows Messenger.

The second method is to just remove your automatic saved login (so you'll have to type in
your login/password each time). To do this, click the Start Button, then click the Control
Panel. Then, click User Accounts in the Control Panel. Select the account name currently
signed in, and then on the left side of the screen, under Related Tasks, click 'Manage my
Network Passwords'. In the window that opens, click the Passport.Net\* (Passport) entry and
click 'Remove'.
