Default Upgrade XP Home to XP Pro

I want to upgrade my computer from XP Home to XP Pro, I
have an HP, called HP Tech support, and they advised me
against this. I ran the upgrade advisor, and it came up
with no compatability issues. I have no CD's, as the
recovery CD's are on a hidden partition. If this is
possible to upgrade, do I need to purchase XP Pro
Upgrade, or the complete version? Thanks for anyone who
can offer any advice.

I also have a HP, laptop actually. HP will only support the OS that came
with the machine. My laptop came with Home, the recovery cds have Home on
them. If you have a swsetup directory or something like that on it copy
that to another location. Upgraded can actually be a chore on a HP machine.
If you know how to dig around for drivers though you should be fine.
