Default NAT and Remote Desktop

Hello,

In the past my computer was directly connected to the internet. Due to a
recent change in configuration, my computer must now be behind another Win
XP ICS host. I've always loved to access my home computer from work through
Remote Desktop, but now that it is behind an NAT, this will prove to be a
challenge.

Could anyone provide some workaround for accessing my home computer's RDP
from the outer world?

Thanks,

Peter Shen

Default Re: NAT and Remote Desktop

Yes, all fixed clients on my home LAN use static IP addresses. Wired/wireless guest devices get DHCP
assigned IP addresses...

Default VOILA IT WORKS!! THANK YOU

THANKS - I got my wireless router configured this weekend, and RDP works
like a charm! the client passes right through the NAT, unaware of its
presence. :-)

Why was I so paranoid..! hehe

Great news...Make sure you do, however, secure your wireless network as much as possible now...
